Road conditions
Most main roads are paved but secondary roads can be rough. A 4x4 is recommended for remote areas and nature trails.
Fuel stations
Fuel stations are concentrated in São Tomé City. Fill up before heading to remote areas or the south of the island.

Parking is generally free and widely available. City centre parking can be busy during peak hours.
Driving rules
Drive on the right. Speed limit is 50km/h in towns, 90km/h on open roads. An international driving licence is recommended.
